Our Story

Sweet Peaks started long before it had a name.

I’ve been baking for as long as I can remember. It’s something that’s always been part of my life, something I naturally gravitated toward. That connection goes all the way back to my great grandma, Betty, who built her own legacy through baking. She founded Old West Cinnamon Rolls in Pismo Beach, California. A business that grew into something special, with a storefront and a presence at fairs during the season. She lived well into her 90s, and her work left an impression on our family, and the community. .

For me, baking was always there, but it wasn’t something I had fully stepped into yet. That changed when I got pregnant.

What started as a serious sweet tooth turned into something more. I found myself in the kitchen constantly. Testing, adjusting, and starting over more times than I can count. I became focused on creating a cookie that felt just right. Not just good, but something I could stand behind.

After a lot of trial and error, I found it. And that’s where Sweet Peaks really began.

The inspiration

I grew up in Washington State, surrounded by mountains, evergreens, and that distinct Pacific Northwest feeling that never really leaves you. Even though I’ve since moved to the Midwest, that part of me still feels like home. Sweet Peaks is a reflection of that, both in name and in what I create.

Big, mountain style cookies. Thick, tall, and meant to stand out. They’re simple in concept, but intentional in every detail. Built from a recipe I worked hard to get right, and inspired by where I come from.
